Requirements
- Have 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- Have at least 2 years operating at Staff Engineer or equivalent level.
- Demonstrate high proficiency in a backend language for production-grade services.
- Have built, shipped, and operated critical backend systems serving real users at scale.
- Understand reliability, observability, and production failure modes.
- Be able to design systems that evolve gracefully and make pragmatic trade-offs between speed and extensibility.
- Have successfully driven adoption of platforms, patterns, or standards across teams.
- Be comfortable with AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and operating services in production.
- Bring curiosity and adaptability when integrating with code across technologies.
- Accounting, financial systems, or ledger product experience is a plus.
- Hands-on production experience with Golang is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and technical vision for the V1 Trust Accounting product.
- Design and implement core backend services for a secure, scalable, and auditable trust accounting subsystem.
- Establish quality gates, robust testing, and CI/CD integration.
- Drive engineering practices for system design, observability, security, quality, and resilience.
- Collaborate with product, design, finance, and legal teams to deliver the product.
- Provide technical context in discussions to promote transparency and accountability.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, architectural guidance, and hands-on pairing.
