Requirements
- Have 6+ years of experience building and running production software.
- Bring deep backend experience and the range to work across the stack.
- Build with AI agents every day and be able to show a working setup using Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar.
- Have experience with agent skills, rules, MCP servers or workflows, including running agents in parallel.
- Design distributed systems on AWS, including event-driven flows, queues, idempotency, failure recovery, and cost.
- Own quality without a QA team, including test strategy, CI, observability, feature flags, and incident response.
- Assess agent output for bugs, security issues, and architectural drift, and know when not to trust a passing test run.
- Use product judgment to explain customer value, cut scope to essentials, and measure results.
- Communicate clearly in written English.
- Be comfortable with ambiguity and change.
Responsibilities
- Turn prioritized briefs into specs with user needs, acceptance criteria, technical plans, cost, security, and instrumentation.
- Make architectural decisions and document the decisions that matter.
- Run multiple coding agents in parallel, provide context, and manage cost and token spend.
- Review agent output, write Playwright and unit tests, and pass PR and release gates.
- Release behind feature flags, configure Datadog monitors and product analytics, and investigate production issues with Cleric.ai.
- Join the support rotation, handle incidents, and turn recurring problems into new briefs.
- Contribute skills, patterns, and learnings to the shared context repository.
