Requirements

  • Have 4+ years of experience developing and architecting web applications.
  • Have experience with declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue.
  • Be proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Have hands-on experience with web instrumentation and marketing technology, including Google Tag Manager or server-side GTM.
  • Have experience with analytics and experimentation platforms, conversion tracking, advertising or marketing APIs, and third-party web integrations.
  • Have experience designing reliable, performant consumer web systems.
  • Understand how consent, cookies, tagging, observability, and data collection affect web architecture and measurement.
  • Have experience defining technical plans for significant features or system components with simple, extensible designs.
  • Write high-quality code that is understandable and usable by others.
  • Be proficient at making significant changes in large codebases and have developed tools and practices to do so safely.
  • Demonstrate ownership of professional growth and proactively seek feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team, leading engineers through ambiguous, open-ended problems.
  • Partner with product management, design, and analytics throughout ideation and product development.
  • Articulate technical constraints and contribute to decisions that account for risks and trade-offs.
  • Identify project, process, technology, and business issues and lead efforts to resolve them.
  • Create and monitor operational metrics, escalate issues, and support availability and on-call efforts.
  • Set or improve team code review and design standards, and advocate for them through writing and tech talks.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to help develop team talent.
  • Build and evolve consumer web experiences, instrumentation, and marketing technology integrations.
