Requirements

  • 8+ years of engineering experience in vehicle development, autonomous vehicles, ADAS, or robotics.
  • 3+ years leading technical integration programs.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Breadth across actuation and autonomy system integration, including sensors, compute, embedded, and software.
  • Ability to rapidly investigate technical issues with engineers, drive them to a decision, and return to the program view.
  • Problem-solving experience using dependency mapping, critical-path analysis, and risk management.
  • Ability to present clear options to leadership.
  • Strong written and verbal communication for OEM executive reviews and test-vehicle debug sessions.
  • Preferred: understanding of OEM planning, gating, validation, DVP&R, V&V, and supplier management.
  • Preferred: experience with commercial truck or heavy-duty vehicle platforms.
  • Preferred: hands-on test-vehicle experience, vehicle networks such as CAN, and field issue triage.
  • Preferred: experience with Jira, AI tools that reduce manual tracking, or developing self-driving vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Own technical integration of the Waabi Driver with an OEM partner, from program setup through driverless operation.
  • Turn company goals into an integrated program plan covering Waabi and OEM deliverables, cross-team dependencies, and the critical path.
  • Balance resources and priorities across Hardware, Embedded, Onboard, Infra, and Autonomy, making trade-off calls when plans affect one another.
  • Act as Waabi's technical face to the OEM and build trust with executive and engineering teams.
  • Work with engineers on test vehicles to triage integration issues and drive them to a decision.
  • Identify risks, develop options and recommendations, and escalate early and clearly.
  • Maintain Waabi's technical standards with the partner while adapting to each OEM's working practices.
  • Develop and maintain program reporting for Waabi leadership and partner executive forums.
