Requirements
- Have 15+ years of software engineering experience and at least 5+ years in engineering management.
- Have led a team of 10+ engineers and directly managed individual contributors.
- Bring a strong hands-on background designing and operating highly available, cloud-native distributed systems.
- Be able to engage in architectural reviews, evaluate technical proposals, and work effectively with senior engineers.
- Have deep familiarity with AWS, including Lambda, EKS, DynamoDB, and Kafka.
- Have experience with microservices patterns and infrastructure-as-code practices, including Kubernetes and Terraform.
- Demonstrate experience driving AI tool adoption within an engineering team.
- Have a track record of shipping complex software products on time and at high quality.
- Have experience with agile methodologies and data-driven measurement of team health and productivity.
- Have experience building inclusive engineering teams, career frameworks, performance management, and developing engineers from mid-level to staff-plus.
- Have experience owning reliability for mission-critical services, including incident management, on-call rotations, and SLO-driven improvements.
Responsibilities
- Own the Compliance Domain delivery roadmap for customer-facing compliance services, internal platform APIs, and Ops Tooling.
- Partner with Principal and Staff Engineers to turn technical strategy into quarterly plans and measurable outcomes.
- Drive adoption of AI coding assistants and measure their impact on team velocity and quality.
- Own system reliability, incident response, on-call health, and security posture.
- Partner with Product Management to improve external customer compliance workflows and engage internal engineering teams using the platform.
- Recruit, develop, and retain engineers, and coach team members from mid-level to staff.
- Prioritize external product features, internal platform needs, and Ops Tooling investments across stakeholders.
- Communicate team strategy, progress, and risks through plans, post-mortems, and decision documents.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, communicate roadmap plans, and negotiate priorities and trade-offs.
