Requirements
- Have experience leading product design for complex digital products.
- Have experience shaping design strategy and bringing multiple teams together around a shared direction.
- Have worked on conversational, voice, or AI-powered experiences.
- Understand how to design interactions that help people feel informed, confident, and in control.
- Bring strong interaction and visual design skills across mobile, voice, and connected devices.
- Be comfortable with hands-on design and prototyping, using AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to explore ideas.
- Be able to turn complex or ambiguous challenges into clear design opportunities using research, experimentation, and judgment.
- Communicate ideas clearly and build collaborative relationships with designers, engineers, product partners, and senior stakeholders.
- Enjoy supporting other designers, sharing knowledge, and contributing to a team culture built on curiosity, creativity, and inclusion.
Responsibilities
- Shape the experience strategy for Spotify's conversational agent with product, engineering, and data teams.
- Lead end-to-end design of the core chat experience, from exploration and prototyping through testing, refinement, and delivery.
- Define how conversational interactions respond, ask questions, offer choices, and help listeners take action.
- Explore how conversation fits alongside browsing and playback across Home, Now Playing, and other Spotify surfaces.
- Design voice and text interactions for hands-free listening, headphones, connected devices, and in-car listening.
- Create reusable interaction patterns and design guidance for conversational and AI-powered capabilities.
- Partner with research, data science, and conversation design teams to evaluate experiences and improve the product through evidence and experimentation.
- Build interactive prototypes to explore ideas, test assumptions, and evaluate complex AI behaviors.
- Support and mentor designers across the program and help teams make thoughtful design decisions.
