Requirements
- Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Hold a bachelor's degree or have an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.
- Demonstrate technical knowledge of relevant topics such as conservation agriculture, the rice value chain, or agriculture premiums and incentives.
- Have experience with federal government awards; experience with USDA projects focused on U.S. agriculture systems is preferred.
- Have experience working with U.S. farmer groups.
- Demonstrate knowledge of NRCS practices.
- Demonstrate project management skills, including achieving targets within scope, budget, and schedule.
- Use Microsoft Office and other technologies essential to doing business.
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills for project management, donor and partner relations, and business development.
- Be willing to travel domestically approximately 2–4 trips per year.
- Be fluent in English.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate project management and administrative oversight with the Project Lead, staff, and Winrock support units.
- Track project activities and progress against targets, and help ensure deliverables are accurate, high-quality, and timely.
- Prepare and update work plans, reports, budgets, forecasts, and project management tools.
- Ensure project outputs and outcomes are achieved and accurately recorded in USDA reporting mechanisms.
- Review and approve assigned producer and partner information and documentation for monitoring and evaluation.
- Write outreach content, give presentations, and highlight project activities, relationships, and impacts.
- Manage partner and sub-awardee relationships and support compliance with USDA rules, reporting requirements, and organizational policies.
- Travel to field sites to support technical and operational project implementation, and contribute to USDA reporting and new business development.
