Requirements
- Bring 5–8 years of software engineering experience, including at least 18 months building production LLM/AI systems.
- Have strong Python engineering experience with production services, including async programming, typing, testing, and packaging.
- Have hands-on production experience with LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, or equivalent.
- Have experience with tool calling and structured output.
- Have experience evaluating non-deterministic systems, including evaluation harnesses, replay testing, and regression detection.
- Have solid backend and API design skills, including schema design, versioning, REST/SSE, and event-driven patterns.
- Have strong relational database skills beyond ORM basics, including query performance analysis; PostgreSQL is preferred.
- Have working knowledge of AWS, including ECS Fargate, Bedrock, S3, and SQS/SNS.
- Have working knowledge of CI/CD practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and extend agent workflows with supervisor routing, tool calling, human-in-the-loop approval, guardrails, and fallback chains.
- Develop and maintain FastAPI backend services using REST, SSE streaming, async SQLAlchemy, Alembic migrations, and JWT-based authentication.
- Implement RAG retrieval and grounding over technical documentation and historical work orders so AI recommendations can cite evidence.
- Build and own the evaluation harness, including replay testing against golden traces, fake-LLM unit tests, and behavior-drift detection in CI.
- Manage AI cost and reliability controls, including per-tenant token budgets, rate limits, usage tracking, and multi-model routing through the model gateway.
- Define and version schemas and API contracts exchanged between agents and services, with automated contract testing against OpenAPI specs.
- Integrate AI agents with ERP and third-party systems.
- Contribute to the spec-driven code generation pipeline.
