Requirements
- Have a minimum of 10 years of software sales experience into the U.S. Federal Government; experience with DoW agencies is preferred.
- Demonstrate success selling to defense, military, or investigative organizations.
- Be proficient with CRM solutions; Salesforce is strongly preferred.
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and command-level engagements.
- Demonstrate negotiation and persuasive selling abilities in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Security clearance is considered an asset.
- Be available to travel to DoW locations, conferences, field offices, and customer sites at least 50% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute annual and quarterly territory business plans aligned with corporate objectives and Department of War priorities.
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across DoW branches, commands, investigative units, and security organizations.
- Qualify inbound marketing leads and assess sales opportunities against operational, investigative, and cyber mission needs.
- Prepare and deliver customer-facing presentations and in-theater engagements for technical and command-level stakeholders.
- Coordinate technical demonstrations with internal technical, engineering, and solutions teams.
- Manage the full trial lifecycle for DoW customer evaluations.
- Execute quoting and pricing activities and maintain sales records that meet internal controls and federal procurement requirements.
- Document sales activity in the CRM system and conduct ongoing discovery into DoW priorities, capability gaps, and workflows.
- Maintain knowledge of digital forensics, cybersecurity, defense technology, competitors, procurement pathways, and emerging trends.
- Travel to DoW locations, conferences, field offices, and customer sites at least 50% of the time.
