Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related field.
- 12 years of prior relevant experience, including at least 8 years of project management or relevant functional experience.
- Knowledge of clinical trial conduct and applicable research regulations, including ICH GCP and relevant local laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Broad protocol and therapeutic knowledge is desired.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including a good command of English.
- Strong presentation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead through others, manage performance, provide feedback, and partner across functions and with customers.
- Strong planning, time-management, prioritization, and organizational skills, including the ability to handle conflicting priorities.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, results orientation, and openness to ongoing learning.
- Good software and computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent customer-management skills and the ability to understand customer needs, mentor colleagues, and foster knowledge sharing.
- Ability to collaborate across geographies with awareness of cultural differences and an understanding of project financials and contractual obligations.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to project delivery strategies for RFPs and lead bid defense presentations for large, complex studies or programs.
- Oversee development of integrated study management plans with the core project team.
- Direct clinical study execution in accordance with contracts, optimizing speed, quality, and cost while ensuring compliance with processes and procedures.
- Manage large or complex studies and programs, and oversee portfolios or customer accounts where applicable.
- Identify program-level issues, manage strategic risks, and lead problem-solving and resolution efforts.
- Build and lead cross-functional project teams, setting objectives and monitoring performance.
- Serve as the primary customer contact for projects, programs, or portfolios and collaborate with business development as needed.
- Monitor progress against contracts, proactively present project information, and manage scope changes and change control.
- Ensure project financial success, forecast opportunities to accelerate revenue, and identify opportunities to increase scope.
- Identify quality risks, implement corrective and preventive actions, and share lessons learned and best practices.
