Requirements
- Have 5 years leading successful implementations of COTS software or platform-based solutions for Tier-1 government clients, or clear evidence of navigating slow, committee-driven stakeholder groups.
- Have 5 years leading projects with budgets of $1M or more, durations of 12 months or more, and involvement from more than one government department or group.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple complex projects at different stages of delivery.
- Be comfortable owning budgets and budget burn, and having scope conversations directly with customers.
- Hold a BA or BS in a technical discipline or a similar technical degree program.
- Have experience using formal project management tools such as MS Project and Visio.
- Have working proficiency in Jira and Confluence, including building boards, dashboards, and saved filters.
- Bring a strong technical background and enough enterprise software delivery literacy to read a configuration repository and workflow diagram.
- Have strong analytical and organizational skills, including the ability to manage competing client demands and technical and project management issues.
- Be able to interact and communicate with CxO-level personnel and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to travel up to 25% of the time.
- PMP certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of permitting and licensing is desired.
Responsibilities
- Manage Professional Services engagements from start to finish using standard project management principles.
- Lead project planning and budgeting, mobilize cross-functional work streams, and manage Statements of Work and change orders.
- Track project progress, budget burn, risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and project health; develop and execute risk mitigation strategies.
- Run engagements in Jira using the standard implementation template and maintain customer project records, dashboards, and saved filters.
- Contribute requirements for Jira, GitHub, and configuration-repository integration to support traceability from issue to deployment.
- Own go-live readiness reviews, define handoff acceptance criteria for Customer Success and support, and run lessons-learned reviews.
- Serve as the first project escalation point and manage customer-side dependencies, decisions, approvals, testing, and training schedules.
- Coordinate across internal stakeholder groups and counterpart project managers on dependency mapping, milestones, and shared risks.
- Support proposal development, budget estimation, and initiatives to grow new business and existing projects.
