Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; a master's degree in Software Engineering is also relevant.
- Hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, and relational databases.
- Practical knowledge of REST services, JSON, Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, SOAP, and XML.
- Database design and development skills, including SQL, stored procedures, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Understanding of object-oriented and functional programming, microservices, service-oriented architecture, and software design methodologies.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with Scrum, test-driven development, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and DevOps tools and practices.
- Working knowledge of Linux environments and shell scripting.
- Proficient written and verbal English communication skills.
- Angular UI development experience is an advantage.
- Familiarity with financial services, AML, sanctions screening, adverse media screening, customer risk ranking, or quantitative risk assessment is beneficial.
- An Oracle Certified Java Associate certification is relevant.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy Java applications for sanctions and adverse media screening systems.
- Modernize applications and improve architecture, infrastructure, scalability, and maintainability.
- Build and optimize solutions for millions of customer and real-time transactions with sub-second response requirements.
- Develop RESTful services using JSON and integrate Java systems with Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, SOAP, and XML.
- Design and maintain database structures, write SQL queries and stored procedures, and tune queries.
- Apply object-oriented and functional programming, microservices, SOA, and software design practices; prepare architecture review documentation.
- Participate in Agile development, Scrum, test-driven development, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and DevOps practices.
- Collaborate with global development teams and stakeholders to assess requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Support production reliability, identify issues, and evaluate platforms including Actimize Case Management, LexisNexis CLINK, and ASM.
