Requirements

  • Have experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner or in a comparable product leadership role.
  • Have experience in cybersecurity; exposure to cross-domain environments is ideal.
  • Have experience developing product strategies, roadmaps and prioritization approaches.
  • Have experience managing platform, infrastructure or technically complex software products.
  • Understand outcome-focused and user-centered product management.
  • Be able to understand complex customer and operational problems.
  • Have experience turning customer-specific requirements into reusable product capabilities.
  • Understand product lifecycle management, technical debt and software evergreening.
  • Be confident working with software engineering, architecture and delivery teams.
  • Have strong stakeholder-management, facilitation and communication skills.
  • Be able to translate between customer, commercial and technical perspectives.

Responsibilities

  • Own and communicate the product vision, strategy and roadmap.
  • Translate customer, user, commercial and technical insight into prioritized product outcomes.
  • Prioritize investment and make transparent trade-offs across customer delivery, core product investment, platform improvement and component evolution.
  • Work with product oversight, delivery and engineering teams to clarify problems, intended outcomes and product context.
  • Help teams determine whether requirements should become core product capability, configurable variation or customer-specific delivery.
  • Provide timely product decisions and encourage experimentation, iterative delivery and early validation.
  • Protect product integrity and reduce duplication by promoting common patterns and reusable capabilities.
  • Ensure product decisions consider security, maintainability, usability, supportability, observability and operational cost.
  • Build stakeholder relationships and communicate product direction, priorities and decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.
