Requirements

  • Hold an active California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Have a bachelor's or master's degree in nursing.
  • Have a minimum of 10 years of nursing experience.
  • Have experience leading a team of clinical staff.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with multiple technology platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Be able to manage competing priorities and collaborate in a remote, virtual environment.
  • Be comfortable working with diverse, medically and socially complex pediatric populations.
  • Have reliable internet access and a dedicated workspace suitable for remote work.
  • Preferred: Experience in pediatric, chronic care, or care coordination settings.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with prior authorization processes and payer requirements.
  • Preferred: Experience working in underserved or urban environments.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, train, onboard, supervise, and coach assigned team members.
  • Conduct performance reviews and one-on-one meetings, address performance issues, and support staff development.
  • Prepare staff schedules, manage coverage, and maintain appropriate staffing ratios.
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping.
  • Track and report team performance metrics and participate in quality improvement and process optimization.
  • Coordinate clinical appointments, referrals, and care transitions across the care team.
  • Follow up with families and provide evidence-based education on chronic condition management, medication regimens, treatment plans, and care goals.
  • Communicate clinical updates and coordinate lab work and documentation with referring providers.
  • Manage medication prior authorization requests, pharmacy issues, refills, and authorization tracking.
  • Respond to patient and family inquiries and support providers when care escalation is needed.
