Requirements
- Have 8+ years of experience building credit card risk and pricing programs, ideally at a fintech, across consumer and/or commercial underwriting.
- Demonstrate ownership across the full credit card lifecycle, including credit policy, risk strategy development, monitoring, and adjustment.
- Have experience designing approval, line assignment, and pricing strategies.
- Have experience conducting risk assessments for prospective partners and developing acquisition strategies across card programs.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Math, or a related field.
- Be an expert in Excel and SQL modeling.
- Have experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, finance, compliance, bank partners, and capital providers.
- Be able to translate complex credit concepts for executive, partner, and cross-functional audiences, in writing and verbally.
- Be comfortable moving between strategy and execution in a build environment with shifting priorities.
Responsibilities
- Own credit strategy initiatives from framework design through implementation and ongoing monitoring.
- Build, review, and refine consumer and commercial credit card risk and pricing strategies.
- Adjust credit card policies based on portfolio performance and risk trends.
- Partner with data scientists to build credit risk and cash flow models.
- Work with product to develop credit stacks and data strategies using financial, bank, and third-party datasets.
- Partner with capital markets on securitization structures, warehouse lines, and forward flow deals.
- Provide co-brand partners with loss forecasts and profitability analysis.
- Draft underwriting and risk documentation, support bank partners on model validation and governance, and report KPIs to senior management.
- Advise bank partners and customers on credit strategy improvements and collaborate across Banking, Product, Finance, and Capital Markets.
