Requirements
- Hold a degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science, or have equivalent experience.
- Have at least 10 years of experience in software design and/or verification.
- Bring expert-level C experience in an embedded environment.
- Have experience building software IP blocks from scratch and owning delivery from initial specification to customer delivery.
- Understand cryptographic algorithms, protocols, and key management systems.
- Be able to specify architectural solutions across multiple technical domains.
- Be confident planning project development cycles and coordinating with project managers.
- Demonstrate a commitment to high-quality engineering and long-term solutions.
- Be able to work with and inspire a team.
- Preferred: familiarity with PQC standards and protocols, such as NIST PQC.
- Preferred: familiarity with Rust in an embedded environment, software/hardware co-design, Arm and RISC-V, and side-channel security countermeasures.
- Preferred: confidence with GitLab CI or continuous integration and testing principles, and Python.
Responsibilities
- Plan and allocate work with engineering leaders and project managers to deliver the product roadmap.
- Coordinate application and embedded software IP design projects from conception through customer delivery.
- Hire, onboard, train, manage, and develop a software engineering team.
- Ensure the team has the tooling and infrastructure needed to work effectively.
- Mentor colleagues and provide software design expertise across the company.
- Work with verification engineers to review verification and test plans.
- Define architectural solutions for complex algorithmic and system-level challenges.
- Coordinate with other teams and stakeholders, including hardware engineers and the product vulnerability team.
- Help customers with integration questions and technical sales calls.
- Ensure clean lint and implementation reports for IP blocks and subsystems.
