Requirements
- Have 5 to 10 years of electrical estimating experience, preferably within M/E/P, infrastructure, or industrial construction.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical systems, construction drawings, specifications, and estimating methodologies.
- Have experience preparing estimates across multiple phases of design development.
- Be proficient with Microsoft Excel and estimating software; training is provided on the firm's proprietary platform.
- Be located within commuting distance of Parkton, Maryland, or willing to relocate.
- Be available for occasional travel for training, team meetings, and project site visits.
Responsibilities
- Prepare electrical construction cost estimates from conceptual design through final construction documents.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and supporting documentation to develop detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing.
- Evaluate labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and installation costs.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to clarify scope and identify potential cost impacts.
- Support budgeting, value engineering, and cost planning throughout project development.
- Maintain estimating documentation and contribute to improving estimating practices.
