Requirements
- Have 3-5 years of software engineering experience, ideally including meaningful experience as a product or application engineer.
- Have experience building or contributing to internal developer platforms, portals, or self-service tooling.
- Have experience designing paved roads or golden paths for engineering teams.
- Have experience improving CI/CD pipelines for reliability, speed, and developer feedback.
- Be proficient in Go, Python, TypeScript, or strong shell scripting.
- Understand core AWS services, including IAM, S3, EC2, EKS, RDS, and Lambda.
- Have experience running, maintaining, and troubleshooting production Kubernetes (EKS) clusters in a multi-tenant environment.
- Have Infrastructure as Code experience, particularly with Terraform, and configuration or deployment tooling such as Helm.
- Have hands-on experience with GitOps CI/CD tooling such as Argo CD or Flux.
- Have experience with MongoDB or similar managed database platforms.
- Have experience monitoring and operating production systems; Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana are listed examples.
- Have experience with developer experience metrics or frameworks such as DORA metrics, SPACE, or internal surveys.
- Have experience working in a standards-compliant environment such as ISO 27001.
Responsibilities
- Build or improve self-service tooling and golden paths, including project templates, CI/CD pipelines, and scaffolding tools.
- Improve engineer onboarding and enablement through documentation, runbooks, office hours, workshops, and training.
- Gather developer experience feedback and metrics to inform platform priorities and roadmap decisions.
- Partner with engineering teams to understand their workflows and improve developer tools.
- Provide and improve highly available AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), and MongoDB Cloud infrastructure.
- Harden production systems by improving uptime, graceful degradation, and automated recovery.
- Modernise CI/CD pipelines using GitOps practices and tools such as ArgoCD.
- Evolve Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code for consistency, reusability, and safer changes.
- Improve platform SLAs/SLOs, observability, security posture, and infrastructure costs.
