Requirements
- Bring 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrate strong coding and debugging abilities across multiple systems and domains.
- Have experience designing, building, and deploying flexible backend systems at scale.
- Be able to drive technical vision and enable rapid product iteration.
- Show a strong desire to learn about new technologies and systems.
- Actively use AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, and Glean in your workflow.
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve frameworks across backend services.
- Contribute directly to the team's product area.
- Define features in collaboration with product managers, data scientists, and engineering leaders.
- Help set expectations and plan product roadmaps.
- Analyze the impact of new features through data analysis.
- Mentor a team of engineers designing and building Nextdoor products.
- Collaborate with product management, data science, and design to prioritize product work.
- Build relationships with team members and participate in in-person team events.
