- Have 3+ years of experience managing and growing engineering teams.
- Have proven experience delivering consumer-facing software and driving execution through ambiguity.
- Have the technical judgment to guide architecture, quality, and reliability decisions.
- Have experience leading significant technical initiatives end-to-end.
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, balancing customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
- Have exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and organizational influence skills.
- Have the ability to build alignment and drive outcomes in complex environments without direct authority.
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a well-balanced team of engineers through clear expectations, direct feedback, and career development.
- Own the team’s technical strategy and multi-quarter roadmap, including improvements to the identity verification journey.
- Support the tech lead and engineers in technical design and cross-functional alignment.
- Own the availability, reliability, and performance of consumer-critical systems.
- Lead on-call, incident response, and efforts to reduce operational toil.
- Drive alignment across organizations and influence partner experience and foundational team roadmaps.
- Partner with Product, Design, Analytics, and other Engineering teams on cross-functional efforts.
