Requirements
- Have 4+ years of product management experience.
- Have at least one AI or automation product in production.
- Bring experience with internal tools, operations, or workflow products, ideally.
- Have mapped a complex business process and removed steps that cost significant time.
- Be comfortable shadowing operational teams such as support agents or accountants.
- Be able to baseline cycle time and define a metric a business leader will approve.
- Account for costs including model spend and engineering time.
- Understand what LLMs and agents do well and where they fail.
- Understand how evaluations and human review fit into a workflow.
- Earn trust with leaders who do not report to you and maintain scope when priorities differ.
Responsibilities
- Shadow employees and map workflows, including steps, handoffs, and waits.
- Prioritize one repetitive, high-volume, time-consuming workload at a time with the functional leader.
- Get functional-leader approval for a cycle-time or unit metric and measure the baseline before building.
- Partner with engineering to design and ship automation, using AI tools and agents for analysis, prototyping, and documentation.
- Define the first version, its initial users, and how it will roll out across the function.
- Set up a handoff so a named owner in the function can run the workload independently.
- Assess whether the metric improves and propose a fix or a decision to stop, with a deadline.
