Requirements
- Have 8+ years of experience building modern web applications used in production at scale.
- Bring deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
- Understand modern front-end architecture and application design.
- Have experience leading large technical initiatives across multiple teams.
- Have experience designing reusable component systems and scalable UI patterns.
- Know application state management, asynchronous data flows, and API integration patterns.
- Have experience improving front-end performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Demonstrate strong debugging and problem-solving skills across front-end and full-stack systems.
- Have experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction.
- Preferred: experience with GraphQL, monorepos, modern build systems, AWS, Datadog, design systems, or cybersecurity.
Responsibilities
- Drive front-end architecture decisions and define scalable, maintainable, reusable UI systems and application patterns.
- Lead large cross-functional technical initiatives across multiple engineering teams.
- Identify and reduce technical debt across shared front-end infrastructure.
- Improve application reliability, observability, accessibility, and performance.
- Improve shared tooling, component systems, developer workflows, CI/CD pipelines, testing strategy, and local development experience.
- Build reusable frameworks and abstractions that accelerate feature development across teams.
- Contribute production code in React and TypeScript, review code, and provide technical feedback.
- Partner with Product, Design, Front-End, Back-End, Platform, and Security Engineering teams throughout development.
- Mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and influence engineering standards and technical direction.
