Requirements
- Hold a valid California SLP license from the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board, or a Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).
- Complete a Live Scan Fingerprint with Fullmind.
- Be in good standing with no disciplinary actions on any license held.
- Have experience using telehealth platforms for assessment and therapy delivery in a school/IEP context.
- Have a reliable, FERPA-compliant technology setup, including a webcam, headset, stable high-speed internet, and private, distraction-free workspace.
- Know IDEA and California special education law/Ed Code requirements.
- Be comfortable collaborating remotely with classroom teachers, case managers, and families.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate students’ speech and language levels.
- Develop treatment plans addressing specific student needs.
- Execute treatment plans for students.
- Promote creativity and engagement in the virtual learning environment.
- Create strategies to nurture student learning and relationships.
- Document sessions and record progress toward IEP goals.
- Meet with school or district personnel to share information about student progress.
