Requirements

  • Have a degree in translation, linguistics, or language studies, or an equivalent qualification that includes substantial translation training.
  • Have at least 2 years of professional experience translating medical documentation.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of pharmacovigilance and/or clinical-regulatory content.
  • Have experience with pharmacovigilance materials such as SAE/AE reports, PSURs, SUSARs, ICSRs, DSURs, or Risk Management Plans, or with regulatory or clinical documents.
  • Have strong Spanish proficiency and excellent English skills; native-level English is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Have hands-on experience with XTM or comparable computer-assisted translation tools.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, linguistic accuracy, terminology management, and consistency.
  • Be able to work independently, manage high volumes, and meet demanding deadlines without extensions.
  • Be reliable, flexible, and able to commit to consistent daily availability.
  • Daily and/or weekend availability is an advantage.
  • A healthcare professional background, particularly as a nurse or physician, is a plus; emergency-room experience is especially valuable.

Responsibilities

  • Translate pharmacovigilance and clinical-regulatory content from Spanish (Spain) into English (GB or US).
  • Perform machine translation post-editing on safety and medical content.
  • Copy-edit translated and post-edited content for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and fitness for purpose.
  • Work on adverse event reports, clinical documentation, and other pharmacovigilance materials.
  • Meet strict, non-extendable turnaround times for sensitive, high-volume assignments.
  • Maintain consistent availability for daily production volumes and ongoing project requirements.
  • Use XTM or similar CAT tools and provided workflows.
  • Apply appropriate medical and pharmacovigilance terminology consistently.
