Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree.
- Bring 8+ years of commercial pharmaceutical experience.
- Have experience in pharmaceutical sales, sales training, marketing, or sales management, including people management.
- Demonstrate a track record of leading, coaching, developing, and managing the performance of commercial teams.
- Understand Specialty Care Sales Representative capabilities, including therapeutic knowledge, territory management, selling, planning, product promotion, customer advocacy, and the patient journey.
- Analyze customer and market insights and translate them into strategies that deliver measurable sales results.
- Demonstrate strategic thinking, business planning, project management, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Bring verbal, written, presentation, and active-listening skills for communicating with diverse audiences.
- Be self-motivated, results-oriented, entrepreneurial, and comfortable making decisions in ambiguous and changing environments.
- Build trust and team cohesion and collaborate effectively across functions.
- Have strong motivational and interpersonal skills and a commitment to developing people and recognizing performance.
- Hold a valid driver's license and be willing to travel, including overnight travel up to 20% of the time.
- Be fluent in written and spoken English; French-language proficiency is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, empower, and develop a team of six Specialty Care Sales Representatives, setting objectives and supporting sales performance within assigned budgets.
- Build a high-performance team culture that encourages innovation, knowledge sharing, accountability, and continuous development.
- Partner with Medical, Market Access, Sales Operations, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to translate field insights into brand and territory strategies.
- Develop and implement compliant commercial initiatives to improve customer engagement, sales performance, and patient outcomes.
- Create national business plans that identify opportunities, risks, market dynamics, and emerging customer needs.
- Review monthly performance against objectives, identify trends, and adjust strategies.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with healthcare professionals, particularly hypertension influencers and decision-makers.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs and Marketing to develop solutions for priority customers and evolving market needs.
- Use customer insights, market intelligence, and performance data to inform strategic decisions and commercial priorities.
- Ensure activities comply with regulations, internal policies, and pharmacovigilance requirements, including adverse-event reporting.
