Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree; scientific, engineering, or business disciplines are preferred.
  • Have Air Force leadership experience at the Group level or above.
  • Bring a strong understanding of Air Force acquisition processes, strategic priorities, and procurement of services and mission solutions.
  • Demonstrate experience developing qualified pipelines and contributing to successful new-business pursuits.
  • Know federal acquisition regulations, government contracting policies, and key Air Force/DoD contract vehicles.
  • Have experience supporting SAP and/or SCI programs.
  • Demonstrate success identifying, qualifying, and helping organizations win contracts valued at more than $50 million.
  • Manage senior customer relationships and translate them into business opportunities.
  • Be familiar with CRM, pipeline management, market intelligence, business analytics, and business development tools.
  • Be able to travel up to 25% of the time, or as business needs require.

Responsibilities

  • Support Air Force account strategies and qualified business development pipelines with business area and portfolio leadership.
  • Develop go-to-market and market penetration strategies to deepen customer relationships and expand the business base.
  • Cultivate relationships with Air Force stakeholders, industry partners, OEMs, trade associations, and small businesses.
  • Coordinate customer meetings, strategy sessions, pipeline discussions, opportunity assessments, and business reviews.
  • Gather market intelligence, understand customer needs, and position solutions effectively.
  • Identify and manage strategic partners and teammates to strengthen win probability and growth potential.
  • Identify, analyze, qualify, and manage opportunities aligned with organizational capabilities and growth priorities.
  • Monitor Air Force acquisition cycles and long-range forecasts to inform pipeline planning.
  • Support bid reviews, opportunity assessments, capture activities, and proposal development for strategic opportunities.
  • Assist capture and proposal teams with customer and partner communications, readiness activities, and pursuit meetings.
