- Expert-level construction project management capabilities across multiple project phases and disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, coaching, and developing project teams.
- Strong client engagement skills and a proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to identify root causes, assess solutions, ROI, and risk, and make sound recommendations.
- Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, meeting facilitation, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities while maintaining quality, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Strong technology skills and willingness to adopt emerging tools and innovative solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to support business growth through client relationships, strategic engagement, and identification of new opportunities.
- Experience supporting K-12, higher education, public sector, or capital improvement programs is preferred.
- Established relationships within the Triad or broader North Carolina market are preferred.
- Ability and willingness to maintain an active local presence for project, client, industry, and community activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead construction and capital improvement projects through design, construction, permitting, occupancy, quality control, closeout, and budget management.
- Partner with senior leadership to define project scope, objectives, success metrics, priorities, and execution strategies.
- Coordinate project teams, designers, contractors, vendors, user groups, executives, and other stakeholders.
- Manage and mentor approximately 5–10 project team members, including coaching, performance guidance, resource allocation, and professional development.
- Develop client-focused communication strategies and facilitate meetings with client, design, construction, executive, and vendor stakeholders.
- Monitor KPIs, schedules, budgets, contracts, quality standards, and service-level expectations, and recommend corrective actions.
- Oversee contract management, financial performance, expenditures, budget controls, documentation, procurement, furniture acquisition, and relocation workflows.
- Build relationships with clients, public agencies, educational institutions, community stakeholders, and industry partners.
- Support business development by reengaging accounts, expanding opportunities, and identifying prospects.
- Identify process improvements and implement practices to improve efficiency, scalability, sustainability, and client experience.
