Requirements
- Have full knowledge of Property Casualty lines of coverage and services.
- Have two or more years of experience in a mid-size brokerage or carrier.
- Demonstrate experience with Agency Management Systems, rating procedures, coverages, and industry operations.
- Hold a California Property & Casualty License.
- Have a valid driver license and the ability to travel independently to clients; some air travel may be required.
- Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent; a college degree is preferred.
- Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to prioritize and manage competing tasks.
- Work effectively independently and in a team environment, with or without direct supervision.
- Have strong written and oral interpersonal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Process applications, policies, endorsements, binders, certificates, audits, billing, and other client-service items.
- Answer client questions about policy coverage, identify potential gaps, and help clients make coverage changes.
- Work with Producers to support client service needs and transition new business.
- Conduct renewal processes, submit applications and supporting documents, and follow up for quotes and policies.
- Present coverage and quote options to clients or Producers, and provide additional coverage options.
- Negotiate premiums and commissions with underwriters and wholesalers.
- Bind and issue policies through carrier websites or order policies from underwriters.
- Maintain client files, records, workflow tasks, and activity documentation in appropriate systems.
- Maintain carrier relationships and stay informed about industry trends, products, coverage, legislation, and technology.
