Requirements
- Have 5+ years of demonstrated success as a cross-functional designer in a B2B SaaS or adjacent environment.
- Use LLM-assisted prototyping to accelerate ideation and validation.
- Build accessibility into the design process from the start.
- Conduct user research and usability testing in the field.
- Synthesize research insights so the team can design from evidence.
- Run experiments, learn from shipped work, and measure whether products change behavior.
- Design coherent experiences across workflows rather than isolated features.
- Articulate tradeoffs clearly and participate actively in critique.
- Iterate with users, engineers, and data, and seek feedback.
Responsibilities
- Understand user problems and define product experiences that solve them.
- Conduct user research and usability testing, then synthesize insights for the team.
- Explore ideas through sketching, wireframing, and prototyping, including prototyping in code using LLMs.
- Validate hypotheses through research, experiments, and prototyping.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering on cross-functional team initiatives.
- Own the design of the product area and build effective feedback loops.
- Use learnings from shipped work to continuously deliver results and inform objectives.
- Contribute improvements to Backpack, the design system, through day-to-day work.
