Job Details

Have 5+ years of software engineering experience.
Be familiar with Android components.
Have built or contributed to at least one Android app.
Bring product design intuition and user empathy.
Have experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, and Clean Architecture.
Have experience with Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, and Jetpack Navigation.
Understand the importance of tests and how to approach writing tests, including JUnit tests.
Use Room, Custom Views, Canvas and Paint, and Jetpack Compose as relevant to the role.
Be self-driven in improving the app and codebase beyond the specification.
Use a user-oriented problem-solving approach and respond to continuous feedback from leaders.
Open-source Android contributions and experience with iOS, Web, or NodeJS are bonuses.

Own major features in the Android app and deliver high-quality user experiences in collaboration with the design team.
Help shape the future of the Android team.
Own, maintain, and improve reliability metrics for key features.
Participate in discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.
Review pull requests and support other teammates.
Handle critical issues and unexpected challenges.
Take ownership of feature releases and provide nightly builds for the QA team.
