Requirements
- Have 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Be familiar with Android components.
- Have built or contributed to at least one Android app.
- Bring product design intuition and user empathy.
- Have experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, and Clean Architecture.
- Have experience with Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, and Jetpack Navigation.
- Understand the importance of tests and how to approach writing tests; JUnit is among the technologies used.
- Bring a user-oriented problem-solving approach and initiative to improve the app and codebase beyond the specification.
- Bonus: experience contributing to open-source Android projects.
- Bonus: experience with iOS, Web, or NodeJS.
Responsibilities
- Own major Android app features and deliver them in collaboration with the design team.
- Help shape the future of the Android team.
- Own, maintain, and improve reliability metrics for key features.
- Participate in discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.
- Review pull requests and support teammates.
- Handle critical issues and unexpected challenges.
- Own feature releases and provide nightly builds for the QA team.
