Requirements
- Bring 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Demonstrate familiarity with Android components.
- Have experience building or contributing to at least one Android app.
- Apply product design intuition and user empathy.
- Show drive to push the boundaries of Android UI/UX.
- Understand the importance of tests and how to approach writing them.
- Bring strong experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, and Clean Architecture.
- Bring experience with Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.
- Use a user-oriented problem-solving approach.
- Bonus: have experience contributing to open-source Android projects or experience with iOS, Web, or NodeJS.
Responsibilities
- Own major features in the Android app and deliver high-quality work with the design team.
- Shape the future of the Android team.
- Own, maintain, and improve reliability metrics for key features.
- Participate in discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.
- Review pull requests and support other teammates.
- Handle critical issues and unexpected challenges.
- Take ownership of feature releases and provide nightly builds for the QA team.
