Requirements
- Have 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Be familiar with Android components.
- Have built or contributed to at least one Android app.
- Bring product design intuition and user empathy.
- Have a drive to push the boundaries of Android UI/UX.
- Understand the importance of tests and how to approach writing them.
- Demonstrate strong experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, and Clean Architecture.
- Have experience with Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, and Jetpack Navigation.
- Have experience writing JUnit tests.
- Take initiative to improve the app and codebase beyond the specification.
- Use a user-oriented problem-solving approach.
Responsibilities
- Own major features within the Android app and deliver high-quality features in collaboration with the design team.
- Shape the future of the Android team.
- Own, maintain, and improve reliability metrics for key features.
- Participate in discussions across Product, Design, and Engineering teams.
- Review pull requests and support teammates.
- Handle critical issues and unexpected challenges.
- Take ownership of feature releases and provide nightly builds for the QA team.
