Requirements

  • Have worked around venture capital as an analyst, scout, at an accelerator, or in a role close to deals.
  • Be able to name rounds from this year that you found interesting.
  • Write short, specific messages to strangers that earn replies.
  • Maintain a high pace without letting quality slip.
  • Follow a process without needing reminders.
  • Understand round stages, check sizes, SAFE versus priced rounds, and why an investor passes.
  • Treat discretion as second nature.
  • Use AI tools daily and exercise judgement about where they improve work and where they could compromise its quality.

Responsibilities

  • Research who is investing now, what they invest in, at what stage, and at what check size.
  • Write first-contact messages to family offices, angels, and early-stage funds.
  • Turn investor replies into calls.
  • Book qualified investors into meetings with founders whose opportunities fit their investment focus.
  • Keep the investor network current and qualified.
