Requirements
- Demonstrated troubleshooting experience in a technical environment such as electronics, RF systems, or IT/computer support.
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience with electronics, RF, or a related technical discipline.
- Ability to work independently on routine tasks using documented procedures and to escalate issues when needed.
- Strong organization and attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication for regular contact with vendors, contractors, and site hosts.
- Availability beyond standard business hours as needed, including nights, weekends, and severe weather events.
- Willingness to travel to radar sites as needed, approximately 25% or less.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and safely handle, pack, and stage equipment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor radar equipment, data quality, and site telemetry in real time and triage anomalies using documented procedures.
- Troubleshoot routine transmitter, receiver, pedestal, power, networking, and environmental faults, escalating issues outside documented procedures.
- Support root-cause analysis of outages and recurring faults by documenting findings.
- Document incidents, downtime, and timely updates to internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate contact with radar OEMs, component suppliers, tower crews, site hosts, ISPs, and field service contractors.
- Schedule and coordinate site visits, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs, confirming scope, access, and safety requirements.
- Support the RMA process, including failure documentation, shipment tracking, and repair-return reconciliation.
- Prepare and track purchase requests and maintain part, lead-time, pricing, and inventory records.
- Track serialized assets, repair loops, warranty status, and spares shipments.
- Help scope and coordinate site improvements, equipment upgrades, and end-of-life replacements.
