Requirements

  • Hold a PhD in a related subject area with 3+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Have a firm understanding of implementation science.
  • Have experience at contract research and/or evaluation organizations.
  • Have experience with data collection methods such as structured interviews, observations, and survey research.
  • Have experience with quantitative and/or qualitative analysis and analytic software such as Stata, R, Excel, NVivo, or Access.
  • Have experience managing project and/or task teams on research and evaluation projects.
  • Have experience building and maintaining client and partner relationships.
  • Have experience with business pursuit, such as grant and proposal writing.
  • Be able to develop work plans and timelines from broad ideas.
  • Demonstrate organizational, interpersonal, negotiation, client management, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Be able to produce concise, high-level summaries and briefings and write accurately.
  • Be able to collaborate effectively in a virtual work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day project operations as a principal investigator, project director, or task lead.
  • Lead project teams by developing timelines, coordinating staff assignments, and ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
  • Identify research problems and design applied studies with aligned research questions, methodologies, and analytic plans.
  • Lead and contribute to research proposals for federal, state, foundation, and other clients.
  • Lead data collection and analysis efforts and oversee the design of data collection tools.
  • Supervise field-based interviews, observations, focus groups, and document reviews.
  • Conduct or oversee analysis using appropriate tools and techniques for different data types.
  • Prepare reports, briefs, visualizations, and other materials communicating research findings.
  • Manage client and stakeholder relationships and communicate study progress and findings.
