Requirements
- Have a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, behavioral science, social science, or related field and at least 5 years of relevant analytical or applied research experience, or a related master’s or doctoral degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Have experience with data manipulation, exploratory analysis, interpretation, and visualization.
- Be proficient in at least one analytical or statistical programming language, such as Python, R, SAS, or SQL.
- Communicate technical findings as clear, actionable insights for nontechnical stakeholders.
- Apply analytical judgment to select appropriate research or analytical approaches for complex, ambiguous questions.
- Assess evidence quality and limitations and connect analytical results to practical business decisions.
- Interpret predictive model outputs and translate them into operational strategies.
- Preferred experience includes behavioral science, survey methodology, psychometrics, or member-reported outcomes.
- Preferred healthcare experience includes Medicare Advantage, Stars, HOS, CAHPS, patient experience, or quality improvement.
- Experience with large or complex data environments and visualization platforms such as Databricks or Power BI is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Build and strengthen the evidence base around factors associated with HOS performance and member-reported outcomes.
- Develop and maintain an inventory of potential HOS leading indicators for earlier identification of performance risks.
- Monitor behavioral science, survey research, healthcare research, competitive intelligence, and other evidence relevant to HOS improvement.
- Conduct exploratory, ad hoc, and applied analyses using internal and external data sources.
- Translate business questions into structured research plans, analytical approaches, and actionable recommendations.
- Lead research and analytical projects or significant components of larger initiatives, from problem definition through analysis and recommendations.
- Translate research findings into practical opportunities for intervention strategy, prioritization, and portfolio development.
- Partner with operational teams on interpreting and applying predictive models for member targeting and outreach.
- Assess evidence quality, limitations, and applicability before making recommendations.
- Communicate findings, research limitations, and recommendations to technical and nontechnical audiences.
