Requirements
- Have 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise application engineering, HCM technology, integrations, or a related technical discipline.
- Have served as a Lead Engineer, Principal Engineer, or Staff Engineer leading complex technical architecture and engineering practices.
- Bring hands-on experience with enterprise HCM platforms and integrations in complex environments.
- Design, develop, support, and troubleshoot integrations between HCM platforms and third-party providers across benefits, payroll, retirement, equity, identity, or employee data.
- Have knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, web services, middleware/iPaaS, SFTP and file-based integrations, batch processing, and event-driven integrations.
- Have deep experience with Oracle HCM Cloud, OIC, Oracle HCM APIs, HCM Extracts, HDL/HSDL, and related Oracle integration technologies.
- Have experience with HCM integration templates, fast formulas, value sets, security roles, areas of responsibility, Visual Builder Studio, and HCM workflows.
- Understand the software development lifecycle and have experience improving source control, CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, observability, documentation, and release management.
- Have experience supporting business-critical production systems, including incident management, root-cause analysis, troubleshooting, and escalation.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems.
- Have experience using Jira for SDLC, backlog management, work planning, reporting, and sprint ceremonies.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical continuity and day-to-day leadership as the HCM Integration Manager’s technical counterpart.
- Lead integrations supporting HCM and third-party platforms, including benefits, payroll, equity, and enterprise systems.
- Serve as a secondary escalation and decision-making point for critical HCM integration issues.
- Build system redundancy through documentation, cross-training, knowledge transfer, runbooks, and defined ownership.
- Partner with the HCM Integration Manager and business stakeholders on roadmaps, prioritization, architecture, vendor management, and delivery.
- Oversee HCM and OIC architecture, design reviews, code quality, testing, deployments, monitoring, and production support.
- Mentor engineers and establish consistent engineering practices.
- Support incident management and ensure integrations have monitoring, escalation paths, recovery procedures, and backup ownership.
- Identify concentrated knowledge or ownership and develop succession and coverage plans.
