Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of business systems analysis, ERP, financial systems, or related experience, including significant hands-on NetSuite responsibility in a complex enterprise environment.
- Expert functional knowledge of the full accounting lifecycle, including AP, AR, General Ledger, fixed assets, cash management, banking and payments, tax, intercompany accounting, consolidation, foreign currency, revenue accounting, financial reporting, and close.
- Hands-on knowledge of NetSuite financial features, including chart of accounts, transaction processing, journal entries, roles and permissions, workflows, approvals, reports, SuiteAnalytics, custom records, reconciliations, and close management.
- Experience defining integrations and data flows using REST or SOAP APIs, web services, middleware or iPaaS platforms, file-based interfaces, and event-driven patterns.
- Experience leading requirements, functional design, testing, UAT, release readiness, and production support across the full solution lifecycle.
- Working knowledge of SOX controls, IT general controls, segregation of duties, audit evidence, and financial compliance requirements.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 and ability to apply these requirements through NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management.
- Strong analytical, facilitation, written communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage close-cycle incidents, prioritize competing demands, and communicate business impact and recovery actions clearly.
- Preferred: NetSuite certification or equivalent demonstrated expertise; experience with SuiteScript 2.x, SuiteCloud Development Framework, SuiteFlow, SuiteAnalytics Connect, SuiteQL, Advanced PDF, and NetSuite2.com data sources.
- Preferred: Experience with connected platforms such as Salesforce, Zuora, procurement tools, banking integrations, Solution 7, or financial planning and reporting solutions.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Finance and Accounting leaders to define outcomes, clarify requirements, prioritize demand, and assess upstream and downstream impacts.
- Lead discovery, current- and future-state mapping, requirements definition, functional design, and solution options across Invoice-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Record-to-Report.
- Configure and optimize NetSuite roles, permissions, workflows, custom records, saved searches, reports, dashboards, forms, approvals, and SuiteAnalytics.
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications and partner on SuiteFlow, SuiteScript, SuiteCloud Development Framework, APIs, integrations, and data migrations.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close by monitoring jobs and integrations, diagnosing issues, and coordinating resolution.
- Own functional design and validation of data flows between NetSuite and connected platforms.
- Embed segregation of duties, access controls, change controls, audit trails, reconciliations, and evidence requirements into solutions.
- Produce requirements, functional designs, process maps, data mappings, acceptance criteria, test plans, UAT scripts, release documentation, and operating procedures.
- Lead production issue analysis, root-cause identification, durable fixes, release readiness, regression testing, and stakeholder communications.
- Evaluate governed AI and intelligent automation opportunities, coordinate vendors, and coach BSAs and delivery partners.
