Requirements
- Have experience researching and resolving claims for commercial health, Medicare, and Medicaid.
- Know how to file correct UB04s and 1500 HCFAs with subrogation information to payers.
- Have familiarity with billing health insurance as part of auto accidents.
- Conduct timely follow-up activities to determine claim status and collect or provide information to resolve claims.
- Have experience working in EPIC.
- Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Be able to work on multiple computer screens and software applications simultaneously.
- Be able to maintain strong performance in a fast-paced environment with productivity metrics.
Responsibilities
- Bill health insurance claims on behalf of hospitals and medical providers.
- Investigate and research commercial health, Medicare, and Medicaid claims.
- Follow up on unresolved claims to facilitate payment.
- Conduct timely follow-up to determine claim status.
- Collect and provide information needed to resolve claims.
- Contribute to denial reports and audits.
- Provide overall support to the team.
