Requirements
- Have a deep understanding of HTTP, TLS and fingerprinting, proxies, headers, cookies, and browser behavior.
- Use a scientific, methodical approach to problem-solving: form hypotheses, design tests, evaluate results, and iterate.
- Have strong hands-on skills in Node.js and TypeScript, with solid Python skills.
- Be comfortable working across backend systems at scale, including Postgres, Redis/Valkey, MongoDB, Puppeteer/Camoufox, and Kubernetes.
- Be skilled at directing AI coding agents and judging the quality of their output.
- Bring relevant depth from scraping, anti-bot or web-security work, reverse engineering, or a research or academic path involving self-built tooling and scientific methods.
- Work independently and keep the team informed about your thinking and progress.
Responsibilities
- Analyze how anti-bot and bot-mitigation systems detect and block the service.
- Design systems and approaches to work around anti-bot protections.
- Turn isolated breakthroughs into durable, repeatable processes using hypotheses and tests.
- Collaborate with senior team members to design and build a greenfield agentic environment for proposing and running tests.
- Work independently on deep, concentrated problems while drawing on knowledge across the engineering team.
- Communicate planned work and step into major incidents when the team needs your expertise.
