Requirements
- Have 5+ years of experience building and maintaining production-grade backend systems.
- Have strong knowledge of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and API design.
- Be proficient in Python; Node.js experience is a bonus.
- Have hands-on Kafka experience, including consumer groups, message delivery semantics, and DLQ strategies.
- Understand relational databases, query optimization, and transactional integrity.
- Be familiar with concurrency models, async processing, and non-blocking I/O patterns.
- Have experience with GitHub Actions, blue-green or canary deployments, and infrastructure observability.
- Know OAuth2/OpenID, fine-grained access controls such as OpenFGA, and data protection practices including encryption and tokenization.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement modular microservices using domain-driven design, scalability, and fault-tolerance practices.
- Build and optimize Kafka-based workflows for asynchronous, decoupled service communication.
- Develop APIs and backend systems using Python, with Node.js as an optional technology.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
- Work with data engineers, analytics engineers, and ML teams to design secure APIs and integrate platform services.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and advocate for secure coding practices.
