Requirements
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with 2+ years of relevant experience; alternatively, have an advanced degree with equivalent foundational technical expertise.
- Demonstrate high proficiency in a modern object-oriented backend language such as Java or Kotlin, or an equivalent server-side language.
- Have experience building, deploying, and operating large-scale, high-performance, resilient backend microservices.
- Demonstrate technical curiosity, adaptability, and a proactive approach to complex architectural challenges.
- Have excellent written and verbal English communication skills and experience working across cross-functional teams.
- Align with U.S. Central Time or U.S. Pacific Time business hours.
- Experience in HR technology, talent acquisition platforms, staffing agency software, or recruitment/job marketplaces is valuable.
- Experience with modern cloud computing platforms and shared platform services is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools in production environments is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and resilient backend software systems.
- Contribute to system architecture decisions and lead design and peer code reviews.
- Use system metrics, structured logging, and application analytics to optimize systems and improve reliability.
- Apply AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate software delivery while maintaining code quality and system correctness.
- Maintain operational ownership and support of core services during standard business hours.
- Partner with engineers, data scientists, product managers, and UX designers to scope and deliver features.
- Support peer engineers' technical development through knowledge sharing, technical leadership, and mentorship.
