Requirements

  • Have 3–6 years of business development experience in the health plan, payer, or managed care space.
  • Demonstrate a successful track record of meeting growth targets.
  • Understand commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and Exchange health insurance models.
  • Build relationships and communicate effectively with clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized, metrics-driven CRM practices, including Salesforce hygiene.
  • Be willing and able to travel as needed to support the business.
  • Preferred: Experience with digital health, population health, or value-based care solutions.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with provider networks, member engagement programs, or care navigation platforms.
  • Preferred: Experience selling to health plans serving fully-insured and ASO populations.
  • Preferred: Deep relationships with regional or national health plans.

Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of prospective health plan clients and develop consultative relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from initial discovery to contract signature, for regional and national health plan opportunities.
  • Advise clients on leveraging products and services to improve clinical outcomes, member experience, and total cost-of-care savings.
  • Work with Product, Implementation, Clinical, and Compliance teams on onboarding, integration, and ongoing client satisfaction.
  • Track healthcare policy, payer trends, and competitor activity, and provide strategic insights and feedback internally.
  • Support contract negotiations and RFP responses, and ensure regulatory alignment with CMS, Medicaid, and ACA Exchange plans.
