Requirements
- Bring 7+ years of professional software development experience, preferably within a SaaS or technology company.
- Have professional experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Have experience using React or a comparable modern UI framework; this is highly desirable.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience with service-oriented architectures, microservices, and significant product or platform scaling initiatives.
- Have strong system design and software engineering skills, including the ability to make architectural decisions in complex environments.
- Own software features end-to-end, including technical discovery, implementation, testing, release, and ongoing operational support.
- Use AI coding assistants such as Copilot or Cursor while understanding generated code and being able to explain and defend implementation decisions.
- Adapt to new technologies, changing requirements, and evolving organizational priorities.
- Work effectively with engineers, Product, Design, and cross-functional teams.
- Be authorized to work lawfully in the United States; employment-based immigration sponsorship is not available.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver features that expand the AI notetaking platform and support additional user types.
- Contribute to platform scaling while maintaining service reliability and performance.
- Work with Product and Design to refine requirements and translate product needs into engineering solutions.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and team planning, prioritize work, identify dependencies, and drive initiatives to completion.
- Collaborate across engineering squads to improve development practices, technical standards, tooling, and engineering effectiveness.
- Review implementation plans and pull requests to improve code quality, maintainability, and system design.
- Build tooling and automation to improve delivery processes and support a service-oriented engineering environment.
- Mentor and coach other engineers.
- Own features through discovery, implementation, testing, release, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to business-critical alerts outside regular working hours.
