Requirements
- Have substantial expertise building interfaces with React.
- Have substantial experience working in TypeScript.
- Have strong experience building backend API services using Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
- Have a philosophy of writing automated backend tests.
- Be able to translate design mockups, such as Figma files, into frontend implementations.
- Have experience working with product designers on UI/UX feedback.
- Be willing to learn Elixir and Phoenix on the job and invest in self-learning.
- Understanding of data modeling and software architecture is preferred.
- Experience building or working with GraphQL APIs is preferred.
- Experience working with product managers on use cases, feature prioritization, and scoping is preferred.
- Exposure to Elixir or other functional languages is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop features across frontend and backend, shipping React and TypeScript code.
- Build customer-facing products across the stack, from the data model to the UI.
- Learn and work in Elixir, applying experience picking up new programming languages.
- Refactor and improve the codebase.
- Create functional user experiences from design mockups.
- Collaborate with product designers on UI/UX feedback.
- Work closely with a small team, technical leaders, and the founders to build the product and company.
- Adapt to a fast-moving environment and shifting priorities.
