Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience building large-scale software applications.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in an AWS environment.
- Experience creating infrastructure as code; AWS CDK or SAM preferred.
- Experience building web applications; React experience is a plus.
- Experience designing and building relational database transactional applications.
- Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs; GraphQL experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python.
- Experience with AWS serverless architecture and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with unit and integration testing, agile development methodologies, and continuous integration and continuous deployment.
Responsibilities
- Build scalable distributed solutions and develop features and infrastructure for business and project requirements.
- Design and implement APIs, data models, and communication protocols that integrate front-end and back-end systems.
- Engineer cloud infrastructure to support application security, performance, uptime, and scale.
- Evaluate technology risks, controls, architecture decisions, operational practices, and remediation approaches.
- Modernize Technology Governance using automation, data analytics, and AI.
- Partner with Technology and Risk stakeholders to establish risk-based governance for emerging technologies, including AI.
- Drive strategic technical direction, lead design discussions, and establish engineering best practices.
- Design and implement SQL, GraphQL APIs, AWS serverless architecture, and infrastructure as code using AWS CDK and SAM.
- Participate in agile software development across design, implementation, and deployment.
- Serve as a technical interface and escalation point for client organizations and U.S. FinTech leadership.
