Requirements
- Bring a strong software engineering background in API design, modular monolith architecture, testing, CI/CD, and containerization.
- Have proven experience building and maintaining production APIs and backend automation at scale.
- Have deep cloud architecture experience on Microsoft Azure, including compute, networking, identity, managed services, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Be proficient in Python.
- Have experience designing systems with clear bounded contexts, contract-driven APIs, and evolvable module boundaries.
- Experience building developer platforms, internal tools, or self-service portals is preferred.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code such as Terraform is preferred.
- Familiarity with Databricks, Power BI, or comparable analytics platforms, including their API surfaces and operational models, is preferred.
- Experience with FinOps practices, including cost allocation, chargeback models, and budget enforcement, is preferred.
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures, workflow orchestration, or job scheduling at scale is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve analytics workspace platform APIs for provisioning, configuring, discovering, and governing workspaces, clusters, and reports.
- Architect and implement a modular monolith backend that orchestrates across Databricks APIs, Power BI REST APIs, and Azure infrastructure.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for notebooks, dashboards, and semantic models.
- Automate cost attribution, budget alerts, auto-scaling policies, idle resource detection, and compliance guardrails.
- Instrument and surface deployment metrics, run history trends, failure rates, and SLA adherence.
- Implement workspace governance as code for access control, environment separation, secret management, and data source connection policies.
- Build self-service tooling and templates for analytics engineers.
