Job Details

Experience: 5-8+ years of professional software development experience; 3+ years of hands-on work with complex SQL queries and related database work.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5-8+ years of professional software development experience with hands-on Java, Spring Boot, and backend engineering expertise.
Experience designing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed applications.
Knowledge of object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and common design patterns.
Strong RDBMS and PostgreSQL experience, including 3+ years working with complex SQL, schema design, and query optimization.
Hands-on experience with JPA/Hibernate, Git, and Maven or Gradle.
Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
Experience with Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and performance-tuning skills, with an understanding of secure backend development.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborating across functions.
Kafka or other messaging and event-streaming platforms are desirable.
Additional relevant experience may include Redis, Spark, OAuth 2.0, JWT, observability tools, performance testing, infrastructure as code, Domain-Driven Design, Angular, or React.

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
Build reusable production code and contribute to technical design and architecture decisions.
Design RESTful APIs and microservices, including secure service-to-service integrations and API security.
Design database schemas and data-access solutions, and write and optimize complex SQL.
Deploy, manage, and scale cloud-native applications in Azure using CI/CD practices.
Use Docker and Kubernetes for containerized application deployment and orchestration.
Apply distributed-systems, concurrency, caching, resilience, retry, and fault-tolerance patterns.
Develop unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
Diagnose production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement durable fixes.
Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA, DevOps, and engineers; mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
