Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of project management experience supporting energy, utility, civil infrastructure, engineering, or related projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing project schedules, budgets, client communications, resources, risks, and deliverables.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, financial management, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities, including influencing stakeholders and building consensus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to identify project risks early, drive resolution, and adapt to changing project demands.
- PMP certification is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
- Experience with electric utilities, transmission and distribution, renewable energy, natural gas, substations, pipelines, or similar infrastructure is preferred.
- Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or comparable project management tools is beneficial.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering and infrastructure teams is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead energy-related projects from initiation through closeout within agreed scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client requirements.
- Develop and manage project work plans, schedules, budgets, resource forecasts, and documentation.
- Monitor project performance and identify, communicate, and resolve risks, issues, and schedule impacts.
- Coordinate engineering, design, GIS, survey, environmental, permitting, and construction support teams.
- Build client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects.
- Lead project status meetings and communicate progress, risks, decisions, and developments to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Manage budgets, profitability, invoicing, forecasts, labor utilization, subcontractor costs, and overall financial performance.
- Support contract administration, change orders, scope negotiations, proposals, staffing plans, and project pursuits.
- Mentor developing project managers, engineers, and technical professionals, and promote accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
